Vintage Afghan Kuchi Tribal Amulet necklace

This beautiful vintage Afghan Kuchi tribal necklace is a stunning statement piece featuring authentic, 1980s era craftsmanship and unique historical elements. The centerpiece is a prominent, rectangular silver-tone metal amulet pendant intricately detailed with traditional Central Asian motifs and inlaid red and green resin accents. It hangs from a thickly woven, vibrant red beaded cord that is decorated with genuine vintage coins from the region. Notably, these include 10 Rial coins from the Islamic Republic of Iran, explicitly dated to the Solar Hijri year 1362 (1983 Gregorian calendar).

Finished with a dense fringe of traditional pressed metal dangles and charms that create a beautiful, subtle musical sound with movement. In traditional Kuchi jewellery, they are specifically referred to as zang or bells.

It has a simple fabric loop tie at back of neck.
