Dopamine Queen Block Print & Embroidered Smock Dress

This is the most special design to me.
It was inspired by my love of painting flowers, drippy, spray-painted flowers, mainly.
A few years ago, I realised I have Aphantasia (I can’t voluntarily picture anything in my mind; it’s totally dark in there). But for some reason, these imaginary flower shapes just flow out of me, despite my inability to picture them. So, I’ve been using them as a focus of my art work for years now.
I spotted a simple black-and-white floral block print design that reminded me of my imaginary flowers. Then I added dripping colours to the flowers and sent it to the artisans in Jaipur. And like magic, they brought it to life for me. I invested more into this print because they hand-painted every drip of colour onto the fabric, and obviously had to be paid extra for their time so it prices a little higher due to this. They sent videos, I felt giddy.

The Collection

These 9 smock dresses (4 in Size A, 5 in Size B) were made to my custom sketches and measurements. (Yes, I’m playing favourites with sizes.)
* Size A: Fits up to 42” bust (approx. UK 18)
* Size B: Fits up to 52” bust (approx. UK 28)

Both sizes are approx 47" in length.

I’m wearing Size B (48” bust, UK 24 is my usual and I am 5ft11) and let me tell you, they’re as comfy as they are beautiful! 
Pockets included, of course. 
Vegan-friendly dyes, 100% cotton.

Made by a wonderful female founded small business in Jaipur who pays fair wages and a scent that’ll make you feel like you’re floating through an Indian market.
