Vintage Tribal Statement Necklace
During the bohemian fashion revivals of the 1970s and 1980s, manufacturers frequently produced mass-market versions of traditional Yemeni tribal jewellery Tibetan statement necklaces. Real coral and natural black stones (like onyx) were expensive and heavily regulated, so makers substituted lightweight plastics, acrylics, and base metals to make bold styles affordable. This is one of those pieces. There is patina to the glass beads which have been painted to look like coral and silver coating but kinda adds to the charm. The onyx like centre is acrylic I believe.
Sits really beautifully on the neckline. Hook fastens.

My handpicked jewellery is usually vintage and or preloved so please expect some signs of wear. I only sell pieces I would wear personally. The photos form part of the description so have a good nose. I delicately clean pieces in need but try and not remove patina from vintage or antique pieces as this removes the story of the piece.
I accept returns on everything if notified within 14 days but please be mindful that I am a one woman small business and only request returns for crucial reasons as I cannot sustain lots of them.
Please see my returns policy at bottom of homepage for more info.
